I’ve lived and worked in Eggborough for the past 12 years and have two children currently loving their time at the school.
I work locally at Saint-Gobain Glass as a senior electrical engineer and this role has given me some valuable key skills and experience that I can use in my Governor’s role, relating to budget planning and health and safety management.
My primary pastime is spending time with my wife and two children. My other interests include football (playing and watching Leeds United) and Formula 1. I also work hard at home to try to develop my engineering career and progress as far as I can in the business.

Prior to working within a school, I worked for a large insurance company in both New Business and Direct Marketing. I have worked at Whitley and Eggborough for many years as the School Business Manager.
My role in school is very varied, no day is the same! Amongst other things, my work involves looking after the school budget, ensuring the building is safe and secure, and dealing with the procurement of contracts.

I am experienced in education, having worked as a teacher in Further Education colleges in the past, and now working at a university overseeing the continuous improvement of student experience and education.
